Fr. John Riccardo
Fr. John Riccardo is a Catholic priest serving in the Archdiocese of Detroit. He is well-known for his radio show and podcast Christ is the Answer on Ave Maria Radio, which focuses on catechetical teachings. Fr. Riccardo is a graduate of the University of Michigan. He studied philosophy at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit, theology at the Gregorian University in Rome, and received his Sacred License in Theology (S.T.L.) from the Pope John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and the Family. He is an expert on St. John Paul II’s Theology of the Body. Fr. Riccardo currently serves as the pastor of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish in Plymouth, MI. In July of 2019, he will be released to create and lead a new non-profit organization, Acts XXIX—a pastoral initiative intended to foster a culture of evangelization and discipleship within the Church and support the Unleash the Gospel movement.
Matthew Birk is a former professional football player and a 15-year veteran of the National Football League. He played college football at Harvard University, was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in 1998, and was acquired by the Baltimore Ravens in 2009. He is a two-time All-Pro, six-time NFL Pro Bowl selection, and a Super Bowl champion (2013). Mr. Birk is an ardent Roman Catholic, and a father to eight children. He and his wife, Adrianna, are active in the pro-life movement, and in October of 2012, he penned an op-ed for the Star Tribune in which he publicly supported traditional marriage. Mr. Birk also founded the HIKE Foundation in 2002, the “Read, Set, Read!” program in Baltimore, and received the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award in 2011.
Al Kresta is a broadcaster, journalist, and writer. Though raised Catholic, he left the church and became an Evangelical pastor known for his radio program “Talk from the Heart.” Mr. Kresta later returned to his Catholic faith and now serves as the president and CEO of Ave Maria Radio. His popular radio show Kresta in the Afternoon draws on his unique faith background to approach matters of faith, consequence, and the issues of the day. Kresta in the Afternoon is syndicated on EWTN Global Catholic Radio and heard on more than 350 stations across the United States. Mr. Kresta is the author of many books, including Dangers to the Faith, Moments of Grace, and Why Do Catholics Genuflect? His conversion story is also featured in the best-selling anthology, Surprised by Truth. He and his wife, Sally, have been married over 30 years and have five children on earth and two in heaven.
Teresa Tomeo is a bestselling author, syndicated Catholic talk show host, and speaker with more than 30 years of experience in print and broadcast media.
